Desperate situations call for desperate measures.
Schools are closed for Veteran’s Day, but that doesn’t mean our jobs
shut down. Here are some Mom•Logic ideas of what to do with your kids
when they’re out of school and you still have to go to work. 1) Tell your boss you’re a distant relation of Ulysses S. Grant and
must honor your Veteran’s Day family tradition of staying home and
reenacting a civil war battle in the backyard. 2) The day before Veteran’s Day keep your kids up all night until you have to go to work. They’ll safely sleep the day away.
3) Bring your children to work disguised as tiny employees. If your
co-workers are suspicious, tell them you're training them for their jobs.
4) Sharing is nice. It’s what we teach our children. So, if you have
a friend who has a nanny tell her it’s her turn to share or you’re
going to pull her hair.
5) Monitor them on speaker phone the entire day. |

If my daycare provider had called in with one of those lines I would have laughed then been pissed! I wish I had read the article before I had called in to work this morning (no daycare) because I hate my job anyway, but it would have made me laugh!
