Youngest Hanson Expecting His First Child.
Remember Hanson with their delicious "Mmm Bop!" that drove teens (and a few of us Moms, we admit it!) into a frenzy a few years back? The youngest of the pop trio, Zac, is about to become a father for the first time at 22 years old. It's hard to believe the youngest is 22... Man, we feel old now. And is it just us, or does 22 sound really young to be having a baby? Anyway, this new addition will make five Hanson offspring. First born Isaac and his wife have a 7-month-old son, Everett, and middle brother Taylor has three children: Ezra, 5, Penelope, 2, and River, 1. Congrats, Mmmm Pops! |

Fascinating facts on an ordinary day in the good ole USA.
Time Magazine recently broke down what Americans are doing during an average day. Other than drinking 160,000+ bottles of Absolut vodka and downing 443,000+ large orders of BK fries, most of us are watching a whole lot of TV which, by the way, we have more of in our house than people to watch it. What does that tell you?
Good news: Nine out of 10 of us are moderately or very satisfied with work. (which is similar to the stats right here at Mom•Logic).
Which profession is the happiest? How many of us exercise? Keep Reading...

Garcelle also has a 16-year-old son, Oliver, and has a unique perspective on how motherhood has changed in the last 15 years or so, including the constant barrage of information from the Internet. She even discusses the debate over bottles: glass or plastic?

The L.A. Times has mapped out where all of our shows stand in the wake of the writers' strike.
Let's just put it out there....we love the L.A. Times. Sure, they cover all the news in a fair and unbiased way, but the thing that makes us want to hug them...the brilliant comprehensive chart they've created that shows where all our TV shows stand. See, with the writers' strike, we are lost when it comes to what shows are in continuous repeats, who still has new shows in "the can" (show biz talk for already taped) and what shows will continue fresh and new. This is important stuff... We need to know how many more Sundays we'll spend in tears watching our Brothers & Sisters. We need to brace ourselves to say goodbye to Nora and the rest of the Walkers. The L.A. Times has taken out all of the guess work....thank you LA Times!!
Here's where some of our faves stand right now:
Ellen Degeneres is continuing with all new shows—Yah for the dance!
Ugly Betty has 13 out of 24 episodes taped—It's not adios just yet!
The Biggest Loser finale is scheduled to air Dec.18. Thank goodness, because we have invested way too much time following these people.
For all the shows listed check out the feature in the LA Times. |

The former Bachelorette recently received negative responses to her cover story about her post-baby body.
So, Trista recently appeared in Us Weekly discussing her post-baby weight loss and her "struggles" with it. Some people were annoyed by her complaints of being a size 4 and needing to lose 10 more pounds. And yes, we jumped on the band wagon of hate (and jealousy) responding to this article. After she explained herself to us we felt bad and realized, like us, she wants her body back and wants to feel sexy. Every woman feels pretty unattractive after giving birth, and let's face it, everyone's body is different. Her pre-baby body just happened to be a size 0, and no matter what size it is before the baby, you want it back. We now would like to say to Trista, "We're sorry."
Earlier this week, Trista introduced her son, Max, and talked Kegels! Tomorrow, check back for Trista's Mommy must-haves and a chance to win her baby bag! |

Sleepless in Los Angeles.
Every new Mom can relate to how a newborn destroys your night sleep. Garcelle is experiencing a worse nightmare right now, newborn TWINS! Could you imagine dealing with two little babies waking up all night? She had only a few hours of sleep before putting this video together for us, and we have to say, she looks amazing. We look back at those dark days and sleepless nights and wonder if we'd allow a camera to film us... Nope, someone would have gotten punched.
Garcelle's previous posts include: post baby body, husband getting peed on and her twins taking over her home. |

Early episodes of Sesame Street are being released on DVD—with a warning to parents.
By now we're sure you've heard: Old-school Sesame Street now comes with a warning that they are for grown-ups only, and may not "suit the needs of today's preschoolers." Back then, Cookie Monster ate cookies (addictive personality), Oscar the Grouch was, well, grouchy, and Big Bird is the only one that sees the Snuffalufagus (Bad acid trip, or just a vivid imagination?).
So, just what are the needs of today’s preschoolers? Keep Reading...

Former Bachelorette does her Kegels—and they work!
Ever since Dr. Hilda's advice for our husbands to do Kegels, we've become mildly obsessed with them and the word has been flying around the Mom•Logic offices. Every time it's mentioned, people get quiet and seem to be concentrating on "something." One brave ML staffer asked the question, "Who does Kegels?" The general consensus is that they are only done when someone reminds us. Trista Sutter did her Kegels all through pregnancy to very positive results.
Check out Trista and her son Max from yesterday's post. |
